The future looms…and weavers will be ready.

These woven field notes are written by the busy hands of rose june, author of the newsletter A Gentle Landing. This is an experiment in contemplation through attention and intention, shaped by the sacred stories that emerge from the mind of a Black woman on the internet.

Here, we hope to recall and remember the definition of digital that respect humanity. We relearn and remake what we must as we renegotiate our relationships to old and new technologies. When necessary we spin—new stories at the intersection of theology, technology and tenderness.

When we find ourselves overwhelmed, we notice our digits and reach for connection.

Here, to be “woven” is not to adopt an anti-technology stance, but to look upon the textures our lives and meet the moment in a gathering:

of tangled cords,

broken attention spans,

and fragmented communities.

We are witnessing an unraveling with profound implications for our spiritual lives. So it is time to wake up and remember we are all meant for creation.
